I recently went to a salon in Xaghra that is operated by a lovely Gozitan woman and her two daughters.  This woman spend 16 years in a salon in New York City before returning to Gozo with her family.  I received a very nice new haircut, blow dry, and style, brow shaping, and foil highlights and was shocked to pay only Lm 5 all together (a slight loss leader because subsequent visits were Lm6.50 for a cut and highlights).  While I was at the very homey salon I was made to feel almost like family.  I left feeling like a million bucks and thinking, "This is what I love about Gozo."
