Malta-Gozo Helicopter

The ferry is not the only way to get to Gozo from Malta. There is also a helicopter service, read on for details.

Update:  As of November 2006 the helicopter service has been suspended.  There is some talk of building a runway to allow for small commuter plane flights from the international airport in Malta.  At the moment, however, the ferry is the only way to get to the island.

Air Gozo operates regularly-scheduled helicopter service from Malta International Airport in Luqa, Malta to Ghajnsielem, Gozo. The trip takes about 15 minutes.

During the winter there are about eight flights a day and more in the summer. The roundtrip fare for an adult is Lm50 (Lm26 if you have a Gozo ID card).

Go to the Air Gozo website to check schedules and fares.
